Our presence in the diocese of Assisi dates back to the year 1980, when our dearly beloved Mo. Giovanna realized the dream of having a small community in the native land of St. Francis and St. Clare, by accepting to send our Sisters to the mansion of Assisi called, "Villa S. Tecla", a reception house run by the Diocese. The presence of Msgr. Don Luigi Toppetti as the chaplain of the small community was providential as it was he who introduced the couple Odoardo Ragni and Maria Urbanelli who became our benefactors. In fact, to them we owe the completion of this building that was inaugurated on May 15, 1989. In 1996, it was necessary that it be converted to a novitiate house. The earthquake of September 26, 1997 which seriously affected this city, led to the interruption of the novitiate for some time. Subsequently, the Mother General and her Council decided to comply with the restructuring procedures required by the current legislation in order to obtain the authorization, and by March 2015, it became a "religious house of hospitality".
